At Buford Senior Academy we care about the safety of our students. Because we want to ensure that our students are protected, there is a visitor safety procedure in place. All visitors will be required to present their State issued picture ID upon entering the building. This is required for ALL VISITORS, so please have your identification read EACH time you visit. The school doors remain locked at all times and visitors must press the bell button to gain entry to the school.
Volunteers/Chaperones
Parents who would like to volunteer or chaperone a field trip at Buford City Schools must complete a board-approved background check. Information regarding the fingerprinting process can be found by clicking the button on this page. Once you have completed the fingerprinting process, your results will be received electronically by authorized school system personnel. Verification that the process has been completed will be reported to the appropriate school representatives, but you will not be contacted directly. Volunteers are expected to serve as positive role models and contribute to a safe, welcoming, and supportive school environment. All volunteers must complete the Buford City Schools fingerprinting procedures prior to volunteering. Information regarding the fingerprinting process can be found on the district website. Volunteers are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner, dress appropriately for a school setting, and maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information related to students, staff, school, and operations. Clothing should be suitable for working with students and staff and reflect positively on the school community. While volunteering, individuals are expected to follow all school visitor procedures, including checking in and out through the front office during each visit and remaining in their assigned volunteer area unless otherwise directed by school personnel. Volunteers should remain flexible and willing to assist with additional needs or activities that arise throughout the school year while always following the guidance of school staff and administration.
